Open the site and read. The demo stories are there for exactly this, and they stay free: no login, no card, nothing to cancel. You can also tap the speaker button beside a line to hear it, and you can read the blog, watch the videos and read the legal pages.
What you cannot do is keep anything. Study and relax stories belong to a login, and so do playback, comments and credits.

Buying 1,000 credits in total — counted over the life of the login, not necessarily in one purchase — makes the login premium, permanently. Spending credits afterwards does not take it away, the free credits you start with do not count towards it, and it is not a subscription: there is no renewal, no expiry and nothing to cancel.
